These terms govern your use of the DebtFreeMe app and website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Please read them, they're short and written to be understood.
1. What DebtFreeMe is
DebtFreeMe is a planning and motivation tool for paying off debt. It helps you organize your debts, see a suggested payoff order, estimate months and interest saved, get reminders, and celebrate milestones.
2. What DebtFreeMe is not
DebtFreeMe is not a bank, lender, payment processor, debt settlement service, credit counselor, or financial, legal, or tax advisor. It never moves money, never pays your creditors, and never links to your bank accounts. Reminders are notifications only, not automatic payments. Nothing in the app is financial advice.
3. Estimates, not guarantees
All projections (payoff dates, interest saved, months saved, milestone forecasts) are estimates calculated from the numbers you enter. Real balances, rates, fees, and creditor terms may differ. We do not guarantee any payoff date, savings amount, or credit outcome.
4. Your account
You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to use DebtFreeMe. Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity on your account. Enter accurate information; your plan is only as good as the numbers you give it. You may delete your account at any time under Settings → Privacy & Security.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no unauthorized access, scraping, reverse engineering, interfering with the service, or using it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Plans and pricing
The Free plan includes up to 5 debts and core features. A Pro plan is planned but not yet available for purchase; when it ships, its pricing and terms will be presented before you pay anything. Any paid plan will be sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and is subject to that store's terms; you manage or cancel a subscription through your App Store or Google Play account. We may change what each plan includes with reasonable notice, and changes to a paid plan will not take effect until your current billing period ends.
7. Your content
The debt details, payments, and notes you enter remain yours. You give us the limited license needed to store and process them to run the service, nothing more. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.
8. Our content
The DebtFreeMe name, logo, app, and design are our intellectual property. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute them without permission.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DebtFreeMe and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for financial decisions you make based on estimates shown in the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, on the Free plan, is zero).
11. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, with notice where practical.
12. App Store and Google Play
You may download DebtFreeMe from the Apple App Store or Google Play. These terms are between you and DebtFreeMe only - not Apple or Google - and DebtFreeMe, not Apple or Google, is solely responsible for the app and its content, support, and maintenance.
If the app does not conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and where you purchased a paid product Apple may refund the purchase price to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. DebtFreeMe, not Apple or Google, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, any failure to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, consumer-protection claims, and claims that the app infringes a third party's rights.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist-supporting", and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must also comply with the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play terms of service when you use the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we will notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept them.

DebtFreeMe is operated by DEBTFREEME LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Texas. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
